7, 14, 21 or 28 Days to Expiration?

Choose the "Best"

Expiration Date

Spoiler: There isn't one.

There isn't a single "best" expiration date. There's only the one that best supports your portfolio goals.

This week, my NVDA cash-secured put expired out of the money, so for my next trade, I compared four possible expiration dates: 7, 14, 21, and 28 days out.

They all produced almost exactly the same rate of return.

So rather than chasing tiny differences in ROI, I chose the expiration that best supported my portfolio goals.

And I went for the bird in the hand.

In this week's video, I'll show you the comparison and explain why I made that choice. Patricia Saylor Saylor Financial Fundamentals
