Two Portfolios, Two Approaches

Can options make a difference?

I've been busy on YouTube lately, and I wanted to share two video series I've been working on.

The $10K Portfolio: Bogleheads With a Boost

I don't usually share my personal investment accounts online, but I've opened a separate Fidelity account with $10,000 of real money so you can follow along as I build and manage a portfolio.

I'm starting with SCHD and SOFI, using cash-secured puts, covered calls, dividends, and interest to generate income and build my positions over time.

I'll be comparing my results with buying and holding the same investments, as well as the S&P 500.

And I'll be tracking the time I invest as well as the funds, to decide whether the additional work is worth it!

The $1 Million Portfolio

What if you had $1 million to invest? Would you put it all into the market at once, or invest gradually?

In this series, I'm demonstrating trades in a Thinkorswim PaperMoney account, using the same strategies I use in my own Roth IRA.

I'm combining ETFs, cash reserves, dividends, interest, and options to show how I manage a larger portfolio. You'll see the decisions I make, how I respond to market movements, and how the portfolio develops over time.

Both series are ongoing, so you can follow along as I make decisions, manage positions, and compare the outcomes.

If you're using options as part of your own investing strategy, I'd love to hear how you're doing it. Leave me a comment on YouTube!
